SETI Forced To Shut Down Search For Alien Life

[Is it because we’ve already found the “aliens” – they’re already here (just take a look in the mirror) or are the baddies not wanting us to find out any more info? t]

The SETI Institute has been forced to temporarily shut down operations at its telescope array due to federal and state funding cutbacks.

The Allen Telescope Array, composed of dozens of radio dishes 300 miles northeast of San Francisco, was put into a state of hibernation last week. The telescope array is operated by both SETI and the University of California at Berkeley, who have been using the radio dishes to search for signs of extraterrestrial life since 2007.

SETI chief executive Tom Pierson said the institute was working on numerous efforts to insure the telescope array came back online, including work for the United States Air Force.

Operating the telescope array costs about $1.5 million a year, according to The Associated Press.

SETI has other telescope arrays at its disposal, but the Allen Telescope Array is the biggest and, unlike other facilities, is dedicated to the institute’s operations.

The shutdown comes after NASA announced that its space telescope Kepler had discovered 1,235 new possible planets, some of which were in the “habitable zone,” where liquid water could exist.

“There is a huge irony that a time when we discover so many planets to look at, we don’t have the operating funds to listen,” SETI Director Jill Tarter told Mercury News.

Can only guess that TPTB don’t want us to know what’s out there!

$1.5M is a drop in the ocean comapred to bailout funds etc. so it doesn’t make sense to close it down on grounds of cost.

Well, it’s a shame but… we can see Niburu with our naked eyes now so we know more and more as the days go by what’s out there, with or without observatories.

In a time when the US Army spend in Iraq $900 billion on year(2010) money from taxpayers, this is a lie just like all their lies.Do they think all people are blue eyed?
I would not be surprised if in a few weeks they will shut down the Internet all over the world. What are saying now Sheldon Niddle and Alex Colier, they who are supporting the theory that super civilized extraterrestrials will reveal themselves and masslanding here on earth, without taking into account opposing world governments??It´s clear that without extraterrestrial intervention, the Terra will be further destroyed by those who have destroyed it consecvent since 100 years and when time it´s comin´they(who had destroyed the planet) will hide into theirs undergrounds facilities and will escape.I don´t know WHY they are better than us and WHY they deserve to escape????????????????

I agree. Something is amiss with the numbers here because they can spend $1B/day on war and hand out $8T in funds from the Fed, but can’t keep SETI going for $1.5M. There’s something more going on, for sure. And if it is their attempt at oppression, I believe the baddies day’s are numbered.

They won’t escape – they’re not allowed to. Their souls are being reviewed just like everyone else’s. Keep in mind that some baddies out there are playing a baddie in this life and quite possibly in a lot of their other lives, they were good. It’s the ones that are bad throughout their entire existence that are being eliminated. Granted, EVERY soul, good or bad, gets a chance to redeem itself. EVERY soul has a choice. A lot of these baddies are not choosing love, and unfortunately, it’s because they can’t as it has been eliminated out of them by all the interbreeding and reconstructions of their DNA (self-inflicted). This is a reason to love them more as they leave the stage.
